Kids are a powerhouse of energy, excitement and curiosity and that can add up to a real challenge for you dear mommy. The world is very thrilling for 2- and 3-year-olds, and they love to delve into.

So here are some easy, low-prep toddler activities and games that you can organise at home that will wear your toddler out -

Chase the laser - Get comfy on the couch and shine the laser on the floor. Have your toddler run after it and try to catch it. But always protect their eyes from the direct laser light.

Timed races - You may ask your child to do the crab walk, frog jump, one leg hopping, bear walk, lemon-spoon race or sack race to tire them out.

Set up an indoor obstacle course - Make an obstacle course on floor using whatever you have around the house like toys, your accessories, stationary, pillows etc (involve your kid in making it). Spread them out on the floor and have your kids jump over          them, trying to avoid touching the toy or anything that’s placed on floor.

Play with paper aeroplanes - If you are feeling really creative then you can make a DIY paper aeroplane and fly with your child. Make them run around the house with the plane.

Pull out the ribbon wands - If your toddler loves to dance, these ribbon wands will really get them moving.

Have a Clean Up Race - Having a clean up race is lots of fun. If you want your kids to clean up a room fast, turn on a fun, upbeat song and tell them that we have to finish cleaning up before the song ends.

Play with Balloons - You may blow up a balloon and see how long everyone can keep it up in the air or you may use balloon tennis. It is great for hand-eye coordination.

???? Color / Alphabet Scavenger Hunt - Time your kids and see how fast they can find 5 things of a certain color throughout the house or hide flash cards of alphabets and ask them to find a particular alphabet card.

???? Simon Says - The most simple and yet interesting game Simon Says because it combines physical and mental activity.
