Parenting with confidence doesn’t mean being perfect and perfection is not the goal. Parenting with confidence means that you are practicing developing and growing yourself. Parenting with confidence means forgiving yourself when you fall short. Parenting with confidence means that you are still growing your confident self. Parenting with confidence doesn’t mean you will always feel confident. There will be times when you will question your choices and actions and doubt yourself and that is okay, perhaps even necessary because it’s all part of your growth as a parent.
Sometimes you’ll find that you have taken a couple of steps back and then later you’ll notice the forward progress that you’ve made. Celebrate and keep growing!
Parenting with confidence is like growing in wisdom; wisdom comes with time, experience, and a lot of effort.
When you give the very best will look different every day, maybe even every hour so don’t be too hard on yourself. Try to remain confident in the fact that your intentions are true, and that you are giving your best in whatever moment you find yourself.
Know your intentions, write them down if you need to, post them on the fridge or in a location that is readily visible to you, recite them in the mornings and evenings if this helps you, then confidently meet each new day, each new moment knowing that you are confident about your intentions as a parent.
Affirm yourself, affirm your intentions and watch your confidence grow!
