  • Dates: Eating six a day has been shown (not perfectly) to soften your cervix (can start as early as 27 weeks).
  • Spicy foods: Thought to induce labor.
  • Eggplant: Also thought to induce labor.
  • Primrose oil: Ripen the cervix (start as early as 37 weeks).

Just remember to talk to your provider before taking anything that prepares your body for labor.
