Getting Your Child Back into Routine After the Summer Break

Summer vacations are close to ending, and classes are about to begin again.

In this season of getting back to school, it is important for children to fall into routine once more, after leading a fun-filled,routine-free summer. Here’s a few ways to make this happen!:

Begin a week early

Making the move to your usual routine as easy as possible requires a gradual change. A few weeks prior to the start of the school year, gradually alter your family's internal rhythm. This will make it simpler to resume your regular routine.

Make a Schedule

It may be challenging to get used to the tight schedule and keep up with all the events as school begins. To maintain the schedule and objectives of your family, we advise using a daily family planner. Include family schedules, class schedules, and reminders to keep everyone informed and organised when the new school year begins.

Prepare the night before

Let your child help you pack up all their bags, tiffins and books the night before school. This prevents any last-moment forgetfulness.

Fix the screen-time

According to studies, gadgets may prolong the time it takes for children to fall asleep. They might also impair your child's concentration in class and lower the quality of their sleep. Additionally, the hormone melatonin, which promotes sleep in children, is often suppressed by the blue light that smartphones and tablets generate.

Ditch the all work and no play rule!

Playing and being active is an integral part of a child’s overall growth. Ensure that once they’re back to school, they also do get their daily dose of fitness and activity. Let them play with their friends and enjoy before going back to studies!
