Stimulating your baby’s brain doesn’t need to overwhelm you. Instead, focus on sprinkling some quality interactions throughout your day. Remember, do what works best for you and your family!
Babies can get overstimulated. You don’t need to stimulate your baby every minute that they’re awake, so please don’t feel pressured to constantly be “on” to entertain them. Watch your baby for signs that they’re ready for stimulation such as being calm and alert. If they’re fussing or turning away they may be overstimulated or have other needs.
Some of the ways to overstimulate your baby’s brain are: read to them, sing to them, play games, make eye contact and smile, speak in parentese, etc.
