Little one not talking

Parents life become a lot easier once the toddler starts to talk.

Saying simple words, speaking in 2-3 word phrases and full sentences. The day-to-day routine becomes more manageable with a toddler once they start expressing themselves.

Give their speech a lift if you think they are late in speaking according to their age with these 5 tips -

Speaking through play -As you know play is the main business of kids because all they do is EAT - SLEEP -  PLAY - REPEAT. Independent play helps in learning new skills, concepts, and all about the world around them but guided play with an adult is  great way to get your toddler learning to talk. Experts believe that it is the only way to really get their language exploding.

Talk - Talk - Talk - If you think you are talking to your child a lot and in return if your child isn’t speaking yet, then maybe you’re not talking to them enough. Use every opportunity in day to day life to expose them to language and words, even if they’re not responding back.

Say aloud whatever you are doing - As you proceed with your day, talk about it to your toddler like what you are doing at that particular moment. Momma is cooking lunch, I am working on my laptop, mummy is combing your hair. This way they will start picking up new words.

Repetitions are must - If you’re naming the foods they eat or the things they play with, every day on a repetitive manner, they will start to pick up the vocabulary very soon.

Take advantage of their interests - Use your child’s favourite character, music, food, or toy, provide them with plenty of opportunities to see, hear, taste, and play with that item while also talking about it with them.

Music comes to the rescue- Toddlers love a good rhythm and music and they have a natural inclination towards it. Research shows that they’re more likely to pick up words and gestures from a song or a rhyme.
