Pressure from other moms is certainly an issue for new moms who have jobs or are career oriented. “Do you even spend time with your children”? “How can you leave your baby and go to work”? “Why do you spend money on babysitters, when you can look after your baby yourself”? These are some of the very common questions which are asked by other mothers.
Your child will not count the number of times you bake cookies for them or they will not care if the laundry is done or not. Quality matters, not quantity.
Mothers should be considered superwomen as they juggle between their personal and professional from not getting late for their work to being good housewives and taking care of their children. You don’t need to be a great cook to prove your worth. You can use a breast pump or use formula milk for your babies, it will not make you an irresponsible mother. It is an efficient way of making sure your baby is always fed on time.
There are other rules that a mother should follow. You should remain confident in yourself and tell yourself that you are doing a wonderful job as long as your children love and respect you.
If you feel guilty for not parenting in a certain way, talk to your spouse. People who see you every day will give their honest opinions.
Do not compare yourself with others, they may seem perfect, but everyone has their own struggles.
You should acknowledge the fact that the path of two mothers will not be going to be the same in order to avoid getting pressurised. Moms should stick together and support each other while they’re walking on their own separate paths to motherhood
